I was wrong - he gave the yellow much earlier than I thought he would. Clear penalty try and given what had gone before clear yellow too. My cynical side tells me that he'll 'even it up' at some point though.

It's not. Tackler released him immediately. Before tackle had been complete!

You tell me Carr was held on the ground and I'll point to him being able to stand up without even having to put a hand down.

Tackler bought him to the ground, Carr should have released the ball and didn't. The tackler released Carr to compete for the ball, Carr crawled along the ground and between the legs of the tackler. Straight forward penalty.

In fairness they were collapsing the maul

Disagree. Edi well overdue a yellow for the amount of infringements they were making and there was no opposition to the Leinster maul it was simply a case of falling over before Denton got in the way.

The difference in play in the back-line with all the guys back is stunning.

    Great try for Darcy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,816 ✭✭✭corny

That was a tackle out of a textbook from Darcy. Think it was him anyway.

Great try! Go on the darce!

Good try, reminiscent of Leinster last year

Don't think the backline is firing on all cylinders but it's getting there. A few timing issues sorted out and this game would be over already

Nice. Hopefully the 10 mins with an extra man will get Leinster a long way to the bonus point win

we want to be careful with the number of our guys flying off their feet at the breakdown...

    good simple try

Lovely hands by Healy. Kidney could put Healy at 10 and Sexton at 12 for the last 15mins v Wales

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,454 ✭✭✭Clearlier

Quality skip pass from Healy to put D'arcy in there!

yeah thought Toner gave away a pen straight in front of the ref in the phase before the try.

    like that

What was that against O'Brien - he went through the middle and grabbed the other player around the torso????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

That'll do for the first half. A BP win would be ideal.

When was the last time D'Arcy scored?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

D'Arcy has been excellent, the pick of the Leinster backs.

On the first try, I thought a penalty try was very harsh but the yellow was deserved.

Edinburgh are really really terrible. i can't get over how poor they are (cue: edinburgh kicking our arse in the 2nd half)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,619 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

No rustyness from rk, but bod and luke having a fairly rusty start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Well we're trying things. Some are coming off, some not. Kearney doesn't look to have lost any of his form. Drico with a few handling errors but still looking to make things happen. Luke hasn't featured as much so hard to judge, but any time he has been he's been good. Even Carr looks threatening. We were worried about him against Visser, but it's Visser that's having trouble with Carr. Sexton is looking sharp, as is Darce. The only real issues so far are Cronins darts (although he's looked good in the loose) and the penalties in front of the post.

Edinburgh may be poor but I'm happy with what we've shown so far. Get a third while Denton is in the bin now and we've the rest of the game to go for the 4th. Another 20 mins or so for the lads plus another weeks prep should set us up nicely for the Scarlets game.

maybe something to do with Bradley being in charge.
no 7 year holiday in the Scottish capital a la connacht.

I thought Fitzgerald and BOD have looked very dangerous. Both have had a handling error a piece but both have made some nice breaks.

  • What a kick from Sexton!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

    good kick

Edinburgh are very poor...if Munster can get the upper hand in the scrum, we should be targeting a bonus point.

    Kearney's looked very sharp.

JESUS WHY DIDNT TONER JUST STRETCH HE WAS JUST OUTSIDE THE 22 FFS!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

hmm...looked like heaslip was still rucking denton there but i can see why a pen was given

Jamie pretty much held the door open there!

  • @phog Suppose Carr should have been penalised there too for getting up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 308 ✭✭EmacB

Tim Visser injured from tackling Carr! What an impact hes having tonight in comparison to a normal game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

    more guessing at the scrum

How the hell can the ref see what's going on at the far side of the scrum?! This guy is a pure spoofer.

  • Good Drop Goal.

Come on Leinster, this should be straightforward BP territory!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,264 ✭✭✭✭Fireball07

Lovely little kick from Cox there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,207 ✭✭✭durkadurka

Embra playing for the Bp now

  • Site Banned Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭Higher

Reddan only has himself to blame for losing control but he definitely did not knock that on....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

Very sloppy play from both sides at the moment.

  • Site Banned Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭Higher

how was advantage over when we were still behind where the foul was committed????

  • lovely from Jennings!
