Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does this have a proper remote control?

The models on YouTube only seem to go back & forward or around in a circle.

Eh? what else would you want an F1 car to do?

This is the only other 1:18 R/C control I can find online and looks to have 4-way controls. I do see other mentions of Burago on same page...

If you can't get a remote control car to Flip using the options of forward reverse or turning in circle you should maybe stick with something smaller.....Dinkys Maybe?:D:D

  • Registered Users Posts: 262 ✭✭evostik

    Flip button would be useful!

But seriously check out these remotes .....

    http://youtu.be/FFUXbJQl5Bg (Back & Forward)

    or

    http://youtu.be/X0hQ24ZVgMY (Forward and circle)

Anybody know if the one posted has a proper remote:confused:

    ^^^

To be honest, its one review of someone who is pissed off their child broke it when they got it... not the toys fault really.

Also was wondering about the remote... but at €10 for a 1:18 scale remote toy who gives a crap! :D

Damn you BA!... thats another purchase for christmas 2013 bought though!

Parents will have their kids invited to B.Day parties during the year, so this would be a great cheap toy (for boys) to stock up on for those circa €10 purchases.

Edit: Just to say thanks OP too... nice find!

The OH was using his car last night, he is quite techie and was impressed, not sure what you were asking about the controls, but I can ask him. I know he could drive it between 2 rooms before it went of of range and was able to turn corners and reverse

Xbox controller doesn't have a motor (of note, haptic motors are tiny).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,795 ✭✭✭g0g

Two other interesting options (as if you didn't need more!)

    1) Did someone say flipping cars?
This one is reduced from € 60.00 to € 18.00...

    2) Steering query?
This Audi TT reduced from € 48.00 to € 14.40 defo seems to have full steering...

(yes, this post might sound like the guy in the Power City TV ads!)

Absolutely, but it does vibrate a fair bit which take a bit of power!

they had those audis and there was also porsche and bmw ones in aldi before christmas... exact same maker (mondo) for €24.99.
so €14.40 is very good for a large 1:14 scale model like that.

I was playing around with my young lads bmw one and it is very nice detailed model, but the range between controller and car is dire... we are talking 6 feet max with new batteries in it and controller aerial extended fully.

This looks like the same car here with a remote control.

    left/right and forward/back are the directions :)

Anyone know if they'd have these in store in Dublin? Need one by Saturday, so can't order online.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,190 ✭✭✭Dublinstiofán

Got two of these today, but both remotes are on the same frequency, 27.145MHz, so racing the two of them around the living room floor is out. Anybody get them in a different frequency and be willing to swap?

I'll have a look at mine. I got one RB and one Ferrari so they might be on different frequencies

    EDIT: 27.145mhz too :(
