Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't think there is a fan who wasn't happy we equalised was there?

There would be fans not happy about having to play a replay though. It is pretty simple.

Be happy with your teams draw and get over it tbh.
Nothing for me to get over and I am happy with the draw.

I'm not complaining about it at all. On the contrary, it's been a great source of entertainment this season.

The first touch and control at full sprint is ****ing unbelievable, yet when the ball is falling you actually fully expect him to do it, that's how good he is!

There were posters saying they would rather a loss to a draw. Theres a difference between not liking the idea of a replay and actively wishing your team didn't get a chance at one.

Maybe I'm being a little harsh on the valuation, and then again maybe not. What he would be sold for doesn't equal what his actual value is. If he was made available, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone pay £10-£12m for him, but I don't think he's worth that. Similarly I don't think Sturridge was worth £12m, when you see Ba & Hernandez moving for £7m and someone like Michu moving for £2m then Welback & Sturridge are massively overvalued simply because they're English players.

You hit the nail on the head when you compared his price with Sturridge's. The others are absolute bargains and were worth more than they went for. To counterbalance it, I give you Carroll at £35m, Torres at £50m, Downing at £20m, SWP at £20m etc. £10-12m would be fair for Welbeck, not that I'd sell him.

This exactly. Why the big fúcking hulabaloo? Of course its annoying we've got a replay and the cup isn't what it is but 90% of United fans were jumping for joy and deep down happy when RVP and Giggsy produced the magic yet again.

We're good enough to battle in all competitions. Pity we're out of the Carling cup as mickey mouse as it is.

Ah lets talk about the match and the cup.

Great FA cup tie, Man United deserved a draw just as much as West Ham United. Be an interesting replay and not a foregone conclusion

Results in football are earned not deserved ;) And we earned a draw. Therefore we deserved it :pac:

Nice try but if you were familiar with my posts in United match threads you would notice I post before matches, at half time and after matches. I like to watch the game not read about it.
It just so happened that RvP scored right at the end.
You will also notice I have no posts during the first half, just one at halftime.

    You keep trying though :pac:

We'll have to agree to disagree there. Probably the most 50-50 game I've seen live this season. Thought United dominated until West Ham scored (27th minute I think) and still could have scored in after that in second half even though West Ham were the better side after the scored.

The second half was very 50-50 with United having more clear cut opportunities and possesion. West hams CBs and midfielders were terrific.

Enough of the slagging already, am I the only one who thinks Valencia has been very poor of late, generally hitting the first defender with most crosses.

Christ no. He's still done some great things but just doesn't beat players and seems to put the brakes on now way too soon. Nani coming back might spur him on.

I'd have to agree with Sean C. He hasn't been absolutely woeful but he's not been up to much whatsoever. The putting the breaks on thing is so frustrating. Although. He crossed the ball in twice with his bad leg today :pac: improvement there anyways

I agree with him too... when I said Christ no was in response to him asking was "he the only one" who thought he was poor!

rvp goals scored aged 21-22 (first two seasons with Arsenal). = 21goals in 79games

    Danny Welbeck, aged 20&21 (1 sunderland, 1 Utd) = 18goals in 67 games

    Danny is showing potential.

5 goals in 14 for England...

People are far too quick to write off Welbeck,on here.

He''s also played a few games out on the wing, which decreases his strike rate, but increases his development.

No, it wasn't, but Giggs made it a whole lot easier for him than Enrique did for Suarez.

When did he say this? Bit big headed of him if he did! Personally I think Fowler had a great few years and was almost as influential to Liverpool and vital as RVP was to Arsenal since 2010 and United this season it seems.

was on a comment he made to journalist on twitter about if there was ever a English player that could bring down ball like RVP.

    He answered "Yep"

    He wasn't lying tbf.

Even if he wasn't talking about himself (which he almost certainly was) there was obviously at least one English player in the history of the game that took the ball down like RvP !

If we extend it to British players, the man who played the ball to RVP could have taken the ball down like that in his pomp.

Fowler had a brilliant touch. Not big headed of him at all, even though he didn't say himself specifically. It was class the way RVP took it down, but taking the ball down like that has been done before, shockingly.
