I'm pretty sure they're one company which is why as part of cost-cutting they've closed the loss-making ones. If they were franchises they'd have succeeded or failed on their own merits.

Yeah you're right according to wikipedia, this is also their fourth or fifth time in serious financial trouble so I suppose they'll pull through this time too.

i prebooked in my local xtravision. they seem to be doing grand so ill not worry about this one closing down. im on about the one on sundrive gorad, kimmage

Microsoft has serious muscle so even though they might make a poor console they can still push things around. Sony would pay if they made any mistakes with the new PS4 but Microsoft can get away with it. I read that GAME is launching a new Xbox ONLY store in London, they did a deal with Microsoft - surface, xbox one, 360 etc. The U.K totally loves all things Xbox. The other thing I read was that Sony was thinking of dropping the price of the new PS4 in the U.K to £300 :

I think its a bit of a cop out but if I could get a PS4 cheaper on Amazon.co.uk I would not complain.

And whats up with Knack?

Watching gameplay clip on youtube it doesn't look as next gen game at all .. in fact it looks like game from early times of PS3.

Maybe shadows of all individual parts wouldnt run on PS3 but is that enough to call a game next gen?

it was the least impressive game at E3 in my opinion. i have ratchet and clank thats about 4-5 years old and the graphics look the same

Pretty sure its all the particles that are meant to make it next gen.
Either way, it looks like a fun game and I'll buy it.

it looks good and it seems fun, but looks like PS3 could run it,

I wouldn't expect they gonna show this game as a reason to buy PS4.

and then just seen the reduced ps4 price and I wondered what was all the fuss about the U.K was about.


Knack didn't seem as much fun as those robots in the Dualshock 4.

That looks like a mute button imo. The whole thing looks like what you got with mobile phones years ago.

They could easily put the mic in there too. It's the same with the headphones that came with my S3.

Unless you play in front of a mirror I don't see the practical use of those light features. It'd be hard to notice them if you're engrossed in a game.

Looks exactly like the iPhone headphones you get and the mic is built into the box with the mute button too. I'd image they're going to be exactly the same.



They're grand and do the job decently enough.

Its a mic on/off switch....the mic is on the black backside. Been looking at 3rd party alternatives as since i know the DS4 has a stereo input i am gonna sell my Wireless Pulse Elite headset. The battery life is just brutal! + heavy on the head when gaming, and it hurts my head. So gonna flog them tomorrow in Gamestop for credit.

There is a small bit here but it's very vague, but good details on other stuff for what people without PS+ will get.

Cross game chat is coming to PS4 and you won't need PS+ to get automatic updates.

Nov 21st is what the smart money was on since E3 anyway. It's a very good educated guess and probably right. Looking at the 3rd party games for release, most should be ready by then too.

The PS3 streaming should not have put up. That's all up in the air right now and won't work until the end of 2014 at the earliest.
