Are you mental, if I had my way every house in the country would have a fibre connection.
I think you read my post wrong, I said at least a fixed-line copper connection. We don't even have that! Fibre would be a dream. I remember when Labour promised fibre access to every home about 3 years ago. Still haven't even got copper.

But yes, apologies for the 32 bit waffle. Got mixed up with the terms.

There's been a few times that presenter looks like he's about to break down into tears.

There there, buddy. The good developers are coming.

Why do developers make games for the launch of consoles? I always thought the user base would be tiny compared to a mature console to after the first wave of launch titles they would be looked over. Or maybe they sell well as users have so little choice?

Way too much "we've done this done that" "don't you want an experience like no other..." crap speeches. I'll just check out the trailers for the games some other time. Stream too laggy also. Too much talk to be honest. I'll free up some bandwidth for the rest of Ireland :P

so the people who do buy them at launch have something to play?

    is..this a trick question?

Think this gen of consoles will bring back the dominance of the more open system of the pc tbh
I still don't believe this will hurt PC gaming. I would never play the likes of BF3 for example on a console.

Not trying to start something here, but this is the way I see it:
-A gaming PC is an investment (an expensive one at that), but it far outlives consoles. It is costly to build.
    - A console is obviously cheaper and you're up and running straight away, but you just don't have the same feel, in my opinion.

The x86 architecture is sound. I'm really impressed so far but not with eircom who couldn't stream an animated gif if more than 10 people were downloading it.

The new system is fast and I always enjoy nipping in and out of the games but the ps3 is slow.
