    Hi all,
I am going away in 2 weeks and I am bringing my Hannspree Hannspad tablet (running Gtab Rom) with me. I have a couple of hundred movies/TV shows on my mac and I'd love to be able to stream them from home in Ireland to the various places I'd be (via wifi).

I used plex server before but it wouldn't stream the moment I went off the server. I use audio galaxy for my music and it works 100% no matter where I am.

So, to sum up, can anyone recommend a way I can stream movies saved on my mac in Ireland to my android tablet overseas?

    Thanks

Do you have an upload speed good enough for video, Sd will need anything up to 10mbit depending on the compression used, full hd could push that over 30mbit.

I've 5Mb up at the moment, but may upgrade to 10Mb. I would like to have bitrate control so I can drop down as needs be.

EDIT: Just to mention, I don't think I'll be able to use port forwarding, as UPC have the modem locked down.

try Plex. install it on your Mac and your tablet. I have seen a guy using it on his iPad and it worked a charm.
