Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yellow for Lucas, it was unnecessary really. No need to be picking up cards early on in the competition.

    Shelvey could barely handle that.

    Sturridge looks good :)

EDIT: I know they are non league or whatever, but its still good to see a hungry young player up front going for it.

It just adds to his yellow card count for the season

his pace is going to really help us in the final third

The shape has been kinda surprising. I thought Rodgers would have setup to really swamp them and have us bombing forward but Allen/Lucas have sat quite deep with Shelvey operating in the hole on his own so often it has looked like a 4-4-1-1. Nothing wrong with that but considering he has been quite dogmatic in leaving us fairly open to make us more attacking against premiership sides it feels weird that we've setup to be more solid against a non league side. I guess it could be to do with the amount of new faces in the line-up.

I thought that with both Allen and Lucas, that Allen would be the one going forward but it does seem that they are both holding. Maybe Rodgers wants sufficient cover for Carra and Coates?

Should be a few up. If they fúck up here only themselves to blame. Hopefully will get a couple of goals in quick succession, and not need to risk Luis.

It could be something to do with the pitch in that he feels attacking breakdown will happen often due to misplaced passes on such a bad surface so he doesn't want us exposed when the ball is turned in attacking areas. I think we started well but we've been pretty bad since considering this is an non-league side.

Might have changed it after the early goal? I'm sure he'll be happy to take a 1-0 win.

Liverpool need to calm down and hold the ball.

Mansfield's tails are up and they're going for it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

FFS Shelvey not even bothering to go for the header there...if he got it the knock down could have been nice for Sturridge

They are beating us on possession this half, no matter the result 'The rodgers' won't be happy.

Sometimes he crosses the ball into the center of the park...a place where anything can happen

I don't understand how Pacheco isn't getting a shot ahead of him. I think if Dani had gotten the chances he has had this season he would have showed far more.
