An Army bomb disposal lorry and jeep just passed my house (just outside Castlebellingham) escorted by Gardai.

Anyone hear what's going on? It was headed toward Dundalk.

Live near Felda. Not much activity apart from the guards diverting traffic at Felda and cars outside the Fairways and at Jackies.

Guess it was just a hoax or something then :)

Had feared it was something more sinister going on in town.

When I left Felda at 5.30 or so they were still there but I did not see a sense of urgency or panic on the Gardai on duty so one would assume (hopefully) that it was just a hoax.

ffs... I wonder if it has anything to do with that loyalist 'protest' scheduled next week in Dublin.
