    anyone know of sprayover herbicide to use on an ash plantation that's infested with alot of briar? would a low dose of glyphosate work of are the trees too susceptible?

    Briar is a difficult one. .. even in the good old days of gardoprim, that was not effective against briar, , and gardoprim was usually used on conifers.
    You have a sensitive crop with ash as you have chlorophyll in the bark, and a difficult weed with briar.
    My suggestion is to knapsack spray with either a v high rate of glyphosate or the recommended rate of triclopyr. Spray now when u can walk it. The herbicide is translocated to the roots but because there is currently limited leaves on the briar, they will probably need a second application.
