Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

I'm upgrading my iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 5 and my mum is going to take the 3GS from me. My query is about the SIM card changeovers- will we be able to change our SIM card to a micro/ nano sim without losing all our numbers etc? I'm with meteor and she's with Vodafone?

    Thanks

backup your contacts to iTunes. and restore them to the new phone. simples.

even easier...set up icloud on yours and just sign into your new phone..that takes cares of your contacts.
For your mother's export all contacts to sim and just import when you get it installed. Set up an icloud account then for her to save yourself the hassle in future.

Ok, brilliant, I've set up iCloud on mine so that's me sorted.

Any way for my mum to save all her texts onto her sim as well? (she's really sentimental and wants to hold onto a lot of them). Phone is an ancient Nokia?

Or a friend suggested that Vodafone will just cut her regular sim into a micro sim in the shop? Is that possible?

    Thanks for all the help!

Yes. In Vodafone or any of the small phone shops.

She just needs to put her SIM in and goto Settings - mail, contacts, calenders - import SIM contacts.
I'm afraid he messages will be left on the Nokia though. Most the Nokia's store 10-20 messages on the SIM and the rest on the phone.
The iPhone doesn't read the messages off the SIM at all.
