    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help me. I'm looking for help and suggestions with something.

While recently clearing out old file off our family comp I noticed some activity that I know had nothing to do with my self or our family. We have a baby sitter every now and again and she has had her boyfriend over on a few occasions.

I'm looking for either paid or free software that will run in the background and record everything done on our comp. But I don't want them noticing it running like you would with the likes of an anti-virus or malware program.

Again, the whole point of this is to find. Out what is being viewed and accessed while were not home so I don't want this showing in the program list, folders anything. But I need it to run in stealth in the background.

Ideally I want to be 100% sure of who it is before I do anything about it. I am not ruling out the possibility that it could have been malware or virus related but if it is there is nothing showing on either scanner which would lead me to believe that it is not one of those reasons. Another advantage would be that I would be better able to keep tracks on the kids with the amount on cyberbulling that seems to be going on these days.

    Any suggestions.

    Thank you in advance

Revealer Keylogger isn't bad for catching keystrokes and runs relatively hidden. Not sure how legal it is to use on someone without their knowledge though...

I suspect that this is in relation to content viewed on the internet.

Would it not be better to stop or to control content to the PC and to your network, by using a solution such as 'OpenDNS'.

Is the user in question provided with a user account on the PC, or are they using a 'Guest' or another user account (such as yours). Because it would still be difficult to ascertain that that user in question was viewing such content, you should create an account separate from what you use with privileges to match for other users.

Though I would certainly recommend the 'OpenDNS' solution as its free and you can block porn etc if you have a young family, and you can block social media, or you can enter in individual web addresses which you wish to block.

If you need assistance in setting it up, I'm sure people here would be more than welcome to assist, though it is relatively easy.

The problem is i'm not sure if it is a manual input or if it was the remenant of a virus or malware so I want to be sure of who is going where and when. I will know by the time log who was on the comp. I'll try that 7 day thing 1st and see if it helps.

IF there is anything else out there though suggestions would be great.

Not very much, even babysitters and their boyfriends have a right to privacy while using someone's PC*. ;)

    * PC stands for personal computer, if you don't want strangers to use it, you should lock it and protect it with a password.
