Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is a screen size of 37 inches too big for an 8 foot viewing distance?

    Hey

I have checked a few screen size calculators online for recommended screen size. I would like a big tv if possible, but its a relatively small room. I sit 8.2 foot from where I am planning on mounting the TV. Thats 8 foot from the screen to my eyeballs :p

Most calculators say between 37'' and 40'' but I would have thought this would be too big to comfortably view? Does that sound like anybodies distance\screen size ratio? And I couldn't care about this "You cant let the TV dominate the room" malarkey, Im pretty sure sitting rooms were built for viewing TV. :D

Cheers Noobies. Let me know how that goes for you.I'm buying a 3d tv, so I think a larger TV a little bit close will improve the 3d experience.

I know there is very little content in 3D. But it will still be good for the likes of kids movies/sports and nature documentaries.
