Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seen a stat that torres only had 19 touches in 80 minutes, thats pretty much playing with ten men. Swansea defended brilliantly though

Sums it up really. Hard to score goals when your missing a striker. Todays was just QPR all over again, missing a ****ing striker.

First half terrific, second half decent, we more than deserved a win but two comical mistakes from Ivanovic and dubious officiating (penalty and a wrongly ruled out goal) cost us.

Isn't it amazing though in the first half we were playing our best stuff, created loads of chances and yet our loan striker wasnt on the end of any of them.

Ba comes on, wins two great headers in their box, could have won a penalty and had a great goal wrongly ruled out for offside. We played with 11 men for 10 minutes and it made a big difference.

Torres and his attitude is depressing to watch. He needs to gtfo.

Ah lads would ya's stop with the Rafa out stuff it's bloody embarrassing!

We were essentially robbed tonight, by Ivan. If it wasn't for the 2 mistakes it would never have been 0-2. In saying that there were lots of horrible performances tonight.

I was hoping Torres would be out wanting to make a statement and stake his claim for starting by playing a stormer. How wrong was I? Horrible, I pointed out a few times when a shot / cross comes in and Torres is doddling in to meet it. Any other striker would be busting a gut to get in there someone like Ba.

Strategy is working a treat so far, Chelsea controlling the game, but barely getting a squeak of a chance.

That was only because Chelsea were playing with 10 men until Ba came on.

Yeah in fairness you can't fault it in this second half but in all honesty they're very lucky to be one up at half time. It might not even be home/away thing but Laudrup certainly sets them up in two different ways. It could be thinking on it that against sides he thinks are better than them he makes them sit in the two banks and counter. I've seen quite a bit of Swansea this season and they seem to have two very distinct/different ways of playing with one being the game today and other with them pushed right up onto the opposition.

Yeah they do seem to have the two styles as you say. When they played Man Utd at the Liberty before Christmas they were at the same crack of defending deep. But against Chelsea and City earlier in the season they played in a more balanced way, so it's not always the bigger sides that they back off from.

Imo defending deep just makes them weaker.

It will be interesting to see how they play away to Everton this weekend. Sitting deep, if they decide to do that, against a team happy to lob the ball into Fellaini might turn out nasty for them.
They aren't going to come to a place like Stamford Bridge and try and keep the ball if your a side like Swansea who have vastly inferior players to Chelsea.

Also Chelsea were rubbish to watch in the Champions League last year so no giving out!

I wouldn't agree that Swansea have vastly inferior players at all. Swansea have quality all over the pitch and they have a much more settled team than Chelsea.

Disagreee with these type of statements.

You have to give Laudrup credit where credit is due.

Thats the case Ireland had no players on pitch at Euro 12.
