Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good report on the continents highest ground.

And it's named after Ottmar Hitzfeld, who lead Borussia Dortmund to back-to-back titles in 1995 and 1996, plus the Champions League in 1997? :D

Nice bit of lazy journalism, it's just a rewording of a press release all media outlets were sent the other day ;)

Here's the vid that was attached to the release -

Yes and further. Less drag. It makes quite a difference in a sport such as baseball where the Rockies' ballpark in Colorado sees a lot of home runs and is the largest outfield in the Major's to partly compensate for the air resistance at altitude.

I can only imagine a soccer ball is affected the same way, just at lower speeds so much less noticeable. I'd speculate that it's a negligible difference in terms of the game and something like player's body's reactions to playing in thin air would have a greater impact on the game

I've played ball at 3600m. Apart from the near heart attacks when ever you chase the ball, in my experience there's very little difference, especially when it comes to the movement of the ball.
