Well Lads, not sure if this is the right section but couldn't find a more relevant place for it.

I have recently returned to Ireland from Australia, where I lived for 20 months on a Working Holiday Visa. The visa itself runs out this February coming.

Anyway, I have decided that I wish to return to Australia and most likely settle down there for life. I know I wont have a problem getting my old job back or a new job for that matter. The problem is, I am not sure which visa, if any, i will be eligible for.

I have family in Australia who live in a rural area. My aunt who is Irish, and a dual citizen, she has resided there for 40 years. My uncle in law is Australian and lived there all his life. They also have a daughter who lives there too. I spent 95% of my time living in the same town as them or living close to them whilst in Australia.

Is it possible to gain a family migrant visa or some sort of visa through my family in Australia? I am an unqualified mid 20's male.

Any help would be appreciated lads, thanks.

Simple answer - no. Aunts uncles, cousins etc, do not qualify for family visas.

Since you don't have any qualifications, you are more likely ineligible for a migrant visa.

Your only option left is to get a 457 visa from your old job (or a new one)

Ok so this is my only option. Does this cost a substantial amount?? I used to work for a boat company building boats which seems to be on the skilled list. Does it cost the company anything?

    Thanks for the help.

All of the information you need to know about the 457 visa is on the Immi link already posted mate, i.e. costs, eligibility, obligations etc-

In short, Yes it does cost the company money.
