http://www.merimobiles.com/china-mobile-phones/ follow that link, hover over china mobiles phones, the drop down should give you size options.

I can find the screen size when I follow the phone brand.

Which brands are the best? From reading this thread I gather that Jiayu, Neo and THL are the most popular.

I've been having a look around but the majority of phones seem to have a 5 inch screen.

I'm tiny and my hands are tiny! I currently have an xperia Ray and the screen is 3.3 inches. I'd imagine anything over 4 inches would be uncomfortable in my hand.

Anyone have any recommendations? Mixeshop and Merimobiles could do with more filtering options.

Etotalk also do screen filtering although they start at 4" upwards.

    5.7 inch ?

I didn't even think about checking the dimensions, that is just too big.
There wouldn't be a 4.5" - 5" with the same specs would there?

I'm really looking for 2GB RAM
Merimobiles doesn't seem to have the 4.7" version with 2GB RAM, only 1GB.

Lenovo K860i has 2gb ram and samsung processors but you will have to ask for a os update as its only 4.0

The Jiayu G5 is a 4.5 inch screen. Merimobiles have incorrect info.

Just check out the video I posted earlier on the G5, very good phone

I seen that, exact phone I'm looking for but Merimobiles doesn't have it with 2GB RAM, only 1..

Thinking about sacrificing the appearance and going with the G4.

    2GB RAM
    MT6589
    4.7" 720p
    3000 mAh battrery

Ive bought 3 phones(umi x1 Jiayu g3 and now g4) from Mixeshop over the last 12 months and had problems with two of them. Both times I had to send them back at my cost, but to be fair they sorted the problems out, eventually I got them back and have been happy with the handsets.
The Jiayu g3 is a great phone for the moneyits only downside is its a bit of a brick,My daughter asked for a umi x1 she loved it,but the battery life is shocking she now has my g3 and loves it.
I now own a g4 its cost me with sending back and getting it back around £185 I love it,the battery is great the screen is great I cannot knock it at all.

Did you go for the free shipping or one of the other options ?

Am leaning towards using Mixeshop and their euexp shipping.

And their false promises from their support staff! Nearly a month and it hadn't been processed and now waiting for my refund! Grrrr

Mixeshop from now on for me!

Lads you're making me scared to order with Merimobiles now.
Have my heart set on getting a G4 advanced but now I just can't take the leap.

Can anybody with experience of Jiayu comment on the reliability, basically how long they've had their phone? still running perfect, any problems etc.

Is it possible to have a poll installed on this thread, preference of either Mixeshop/Merimobiles or other sites?

Merimobiles are good, my gripe is the length of time from ordering the phone to being sent out which is normal for them, I suppose they do the quality work on it and ive never had a bogey phone with them, Glenview got unlucky by ordering a in demand phone at a cheap price, there was prob none left.

Let me know how you get on with ordering it from there.

How did you order the 3000mAh battery and did it add much to the cost?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,604 ✭✭✭Newtown90

There was an option the mixeshop site to add it in for $28...

Paid the customs free delivery option!

  • Registered Users Posts: 31,887 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Oh I see it now. The option with the case.

I'm getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on that one myself.

    Cool :)

Let us know how you get on with it when it arrives. I'm going to purchase that myself soon.

The 3000mAh extra battery will be sent separately I think? They don't send two batteries in the one shipment I read.

You pay customs upfront, probably described it wrong it's not "free" it's $41 it worked our for me. You don't get stung for customs on delivery then.
