Think I got it on needrom :)

How have you found it on comparison to the Beta 3?

Much the same tbh,the only reason I changed is because Beta 3 has an "Android services" process which was spamming Chinese popup links, but this only happened after about 2/3 months using it,so i reckoned it might have more "phone home" processes hidden in there,so went with the original rom and just used titanium to either uninstall or freeze any Chinese apps :),

Mind you I have tried every other rom as and when they come out,but they are all ports, and as such there is usually a few problems with them,so just go back to the original backup i have ;)

I have had the Tronsmart TS7 (Glacier) for about a year now and the only thing that is bugging me is that i cannot find a decent case for it. Does anyone know of any case that will fit these phones, would ideally like a flip case.
    Thanks

I see that phones are coming on stream with the new MTK6595 chip. It will be interesting to see if there is a drop in price of the older MTK chip phones.
Maybe the GPS might actually work as well :pac:

Never heard of Android 4.2.9 but if you can jump straight to KitKat you'll be fine. Phone looks tidy for the money, beware the taxman though

have you downloaded CPU spy to see is it running constantly?

Could be simply the ROM you're using is power hungry.

Which version is the better? There are 2 versions on Play by 2 different developers.

Is it stable yet or still dev?

It's still in development. It's been pretty impressively stable until Friday's OTA (4.10.10) update, which I downloaded before the devs had a chance to suspend it. One soft-bricking later, and I had to do a factory reset and restore, and I'm back with the second-to-last update. They've put out 4.10.11 now, but there are still complaints on the changelog for it on the official forum, so I might hang tight for a day or so before updating again.

Doesn't matter which version. They just show what frequency the CPU is running at most of the time.

it'll just give you an indication of power usage.

I put on today's update and it's fine so far.

I think that the issue I'm having is down to having "true dual boot" enabled via CWM. I'm going to do a full flash of 4.10.11 to system 2 later, see how that works. I'll try the latest version of the AOSP ROM again on system 1.

Thats decent. Although mine is usually around 80-90%.

Have you looked at anything like a wakelock detector?

Very very tempted by this phone.

    It's called the MPIE G7.

It supports Irish 4G too I think.

Anyone got any experience with this website?

Think I'd be caught with Customs.

Aren't we getting very sure of ourselves :)
It's a far cry from your first posts on the mi3 thread

LOL! Once I'd made a shambles of it once and survived, I started getting big for my boots!

That is a serious phone for such a small amount of money! I'm not familiar with the site, but that is some bargain. 4G and 2Gb ram is unheard of at that price point.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

At that price, something has to be wrong.

Brand is unknown to me, as is the website.
I'd personally stay well clear, unless you want to be the guniea pig.
