Methinks I might try one of these :

    http://ulefonebepro.com/

    5.5in, 4G, 2GB Ram, MT6732, only 720p but I can live with that.

That looks great and apparently the battery is good? Might pick it up

Voucher code CNS2015 gives a discount, so if I am calculating correctly, phone and a case ( http://www.dealsmachine.com/best_227027.html ) comes to 130 euro.

More codes here: Might give more discount!!

Nice, did you bother with the case that eamonn suggested?

Nope, just got the phone to save as much money as possible

Also you don't get the free gift they offer if you use a coupon code (They're not great anyway)

Did you order ? They won't ship until after the holidays (Feb24th I think).

Was going to wait until then, but I think the voucher code is to make up for waiting.

Damn but I'm in no rush anyway. Worth it for a new phone at that price

Might do the same, never liked the feel of any covers. Plastic, leather or felt.

Ah I wouldn't really worry about the gift now tbh. I'm being offered "Charging Port Covers for iPhone 4 3GS" haha. Is that even a thing? :pac:

Cases can be a bit of nuisance, and I usually never order one when I am ordering a phone, but a few phones that have passed through my hands lately had very handy cases/back covers (THL T200 / Elephone P8) which were specifically designed for them. The back cover would basically be half the case so it added very little to the bulk of the phone, while providing decent protection to the screen.

Am not sure if that is the type of case I linked to, but I know that if I don't order a case when I order the phone, the case will never be ordered!!

Bought the Doogee Voyager 2 for the missus last Sunday on Banggood. They now have a UK warehouse and it was delivered on Thursday. Good phone and total cost €82.25

    Is it any good?
My wife is getting herself a proper phone in the summer but for now, she needs a handy one to do a few months. Looking to spend about the same as you on temp phone - €80. This would do wouldn't it, for that cash?

looks like its their high end model. I'd say it'll price itself out of most peoples range.

    Guys
My Zoppo ZP999 died this week when I tried to do the update.

All I'm getting is the recovery menu which does nothing and the message on my screen saying "no command" next to a dead looking android.

I've tried connecting it to my laptop but it cant see it.

Has anyone any suggestions as to what I could try.??

Looking at this thread, it looks like you need a flashtool - http://forum.zopomobileshop.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=2885&extra=page%3D1%26filter%3Dtypeid%26typeid%3D29%26typeid%3D29

Be VERY careful if you are going to use flashtools, make sure you have a good read of all the instructions before attempting anything.

What options does the recovery menu that you are seeing give you ?

And then have a second good read, followed by a third. Then get 8 hours sleep and read it again!

That said, it sounds like tatranska is stuck with a paperweight at the moment, so might as well give it a lash.

    apply update from sdcard

I would suggest fastboot mode, but I can't find anything online to suggest that the ZP999 has a fastboot mode. I think that flashtool fulfils that role for it. I tried to boot into fastboot on mine, but nothing happened. Zopomobileshop's forum or xda are probably your best bet.
