I tried today but it was difficult trying to video record my steps on my mum's G3T while holding get the Neo (the resulting video was blurry because the G3T camera isn't great)

A step by step written tutorial with pics might have to do guys if that's OK?

Kit-Kat custom rom has just been added at needrom for original Jiayu g3 if anyone's interested.

Should work on a G3ST then shouldnt it?

Any use or is it buggy?

Might pop it onto the missus' phone if its dacent...

Edit : Just looking at the comments, apparently an SD card bug and its only 4.1.2 skinned to look like 4.4... :-(

Make a difference to the phone? Could a total novice manage it?

yeah just noticed someone remarked it was 4.2.2. just messing with it now and really like it.

It is only for G3 and G3N via patch, not G3s.

    EDIT: updated previous post.

That's exactly why I made the post about why I avoid needrom a few posts back

have installed almost every rom for G3, but I normally wait a day or so to see if anyone has problems.

it is IMPORTANT to read what model the rom is for.... remember there are about 4 models of G3 it won't work for the G3 T or S Just the original and N with patch.

always do a full backup first

good stuff, might not be at home for it is why i was asking. DHL can be very awkward to get hold of this side of the country. The postman is usually handy enough to catch.

Looks like the first MTK6592 octa core based phones are starting to materialize. Seriously impressive antutu score if these screen shots are to be believed. Roughly 10% less than you'd expect from a snapdragon 600 device for 1/2-1/3 the price.

Seem very heavy phones though :(

    Quick question re memory..

I have a Neo on 2gb ram and 32gb memory but i seem to be filling up internal memory with apps, my sd card is small (2gb,temporary) so i have moved some there.
Is the 2gb for apps and the 32gb for media etc? Also how do i access this 32gb?
