I use mainly WiFi but when I don't it us horrible tbh. Really poor 3G pick up.
Might be an O2 issue so ordered a Vodafone sim to compare.

You on O2 as well? I suspect it is a phone problem though which is a big problem to me as in work I need my coverage badly!

Are you sure you have 3G turned on?

Lads I'm on Vodafone and I have No 3G coverage , I contacted Vodafone and got them to reset my IMEI number because I thought the phone could be blacklisted with them , I still have the same issue , I tried a Vodafone Sim out of a Samsung S2 with the data working in the Neo and straight away - I got a restricted access changed error.
I think that this is a phone issue ,maybe a setting needs to be changed ,
Is there anyone not having issues with this issue on their N003 ?

Have you changed your settings from WCDMA to GSM?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭wiz569

I only get it when changing between GSM and 3G

I have tried both but every time WDCMA is selected I get the same error, and 3G is available on same network using a different device .

    In mine it's Settings > More > Mobile Networks > 3G service.

Hmm right. Have you tried a manual search for phone networks?

When I do it there's a 3G and 2G option for all the networks. I keep having to scan to kickstart three 3G every now and then.

Uh oh. What's wrong with it?

Signal kept coming and going. I'd get a few messages in at once, could be going hours without signal though. Got friends to ring me, said the phone was off etc. Couldn't hack it anymore! Tried other sim cards, still the same story. Pity, nice looking phone. In fairness the Goophone support team have been excellent and after emailing them the problem they have offered a full refund, even yesterday I checked my bank balance and they refunded me the customs charges. Fair play to them.
