On the contrary, Umbro has blossomed under Nike ownership. Look at how many clubs wear their kits today as opposed to ten years ago. Current Umbro shirts are some of the most stylish around. Certainly better than any Nike one.

Nike divested Umbro a while back. They were sold to some group called iconix. Umbro a Far nicer brand in my opinion. Nike have lost their way big time

It's atrocious. Don't know what Nike were thinking.. messing with the hoops even a small bit never goes down well let alone that. Fingers crossed it's a training top or something.

Is that good or bad for Umbro? I don't mind so long as they keep making good quality nice gear. I have crap loads of Umbro gear that I live in and it always represents value for money.
Apart from the odd United jersey, I have very little Nike clothing.

The big V neck things on the Spain and Milan white one are atrocious. I like Adidas kits too, but they look horrible. The Spain picture looks like an audition for the red Power Ranger.

I can imagine Umbro have creative independence regardless. If Nike didnt dictate their designs much (which i doubt they did judging by the fact Umbro trumped Nike designs) then id doubt iconix will either
