Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have an Iphone and Ipad but don't want same apps on both

I think the title describes it quite well! I have an iphone 4s and got an ipad 2 yesterday. Set it up and obviously used my apple ID. Installed some apps on it and low and behold they appeared on my iphone too!

I don't want them on the iphone - just the ipad. Does that mean I need to go set up a different apple ID to use for the appstore on the ipad whilst still using my existing one for iCloud?

That said I also don't want to necessarily pay twice for the same apps.

On either/both iPhone and IPad go into Settings>iTunes & App Stores and turn off automatic downloads for Apps. Simple.

Also, once you buy an app, its yours, regardless of what device its on

Just use the iTunes program on the desktop to choose which apps you want on each device. The do nothing behaviour is to install them all. If you don't sync to a desktop you should get the same effect by just deleting the ones you don't want (they will stay available on other devices and you can always fetch them back later without charge)
