Only have this a couple of months or so & having some issues recharging the battery,
The battery is flat but when I plug it into the charger the green light is on indicating fully charged
Seems to be charging the other battery ok, do the batteries on these units have this short of life?

try wiggle the battery inside the charger to make sure it's not just a connection problem.

It sounds like you need to pull your post!

to do this get a small implement like a toothpick and try move the centre post of the battery up slightly. Sometimes they get pushed in by a few millimetres and this is the difference in charging and not charging.

OK, all very distressing heading into the weekend with no chance of getting any spare parts if needed
Just gave the charger terminal a little clean, it was slightly blackened, red light is on so fingers crossed

    Great yoke so far

They need to be cleaned every now and again alright, both the charger and the battery connections....mine gets a buildup of greenish crap over time which does affect the connection. Quick clean and it's always back to normal...

If it isn't a dirty connection:

This can be caused by a non-compatible USB power adapter. Try using the one that came with the charger (if there is one) and ensure the power plug is rated for arround 500mA, more/less available current can cause the chargers to think the battery is full due to the way the shut off switch works.

A little cleaning of the terminals seems to have done the trick, I'm using the charger that came as part of the kit
