Louis' brother Mike (RIP) used be married to Yvonne's sister Helen (also RIP)

I suppose their friendship developed from this. They are both also ex cocaine addicts, so yet more common ground there.

Carol and Yvonne used to be friendly enough before Carol split from Louis, Yvonne obviously took louis' side in the seperation battle.

The latest round of hostilities stem from the fact that Carol discovered Yvonne was internet dating and posted copies of her dating profile in the menus in Vinos.


+1 re Ciara O'Callaghan who plays Yvonne, she is head and shoulders above anyone else there, although getting what little amount of good lines the screenwriters manage to come up with helps.

I'll never "believe" Wayne was an escort, it just doesn't fit his character. He doesn't have the looks or attitude. Male escorts are an extremely rare thing, first of all they have to look amazing and work on their body a huge amount. Secondly, they're not generally social and chancery, excitable types like Wayne, they're highly disaffected types, almost necessarily promiscuous and bisexual. I forgot about Wayne's "history" until recently again... even when it's made clear, my mind seems to automatically disregard it as nonsense.

I also don't buy anyone would mix it up with rose of tralee escort. I've seen that kind of joke before, but for someone to automatically associate escort with rose of tralee is way too much of a stretch.

Wayne is class at comedy - probably the best on the show. Do they purposely write Maeve like that or is it her delivery? Still not sure.
