I was a bit annoyed when Val went on at Christy that he had told all of Carrigstown that he did not want to marry her, and that all of Carrigstown heard how he felt about her. Val was the one who insisted that the mic be taken into a private office, Val was the one who turned on the mic without even having the damn thing in her hand, she could have turned it off. It's Christy I feel sorry for.

As Luke appeals to Judith to drop the charges, her resilience is slipping and her resolve seems to be weakening. However, Luke is stunned when Judith ultimately sides with Tommy, suggesting that Luke is responsible for his own destiny and actions.

Later, Luke threatens Tommy, accusing him of wanting to seek revenge and hurting Vivienne in the process. Luke then threatens to implicate Judith in Tommy's assault and suggests that he has nothing to lose in taking Judith down with him...

Meanwhile, Paddy tries to stir up animosity between Decco and Zumo to ensure that they change their minds about moving out. The plan begins to work when the two boys start arguing. Paddy is hoping to build a rift between the brothers, but is disappointed when they shake hands and make up with their plans to move out intact. Zumo makes sure Vivienne is okay about him moving out, and she reassures him, reiterating how she supports their decision. Paddy is left seething as his plan to drive the brothers apart has backfired.

Elsewhere, Damien battles sexual frustration, while Ben finds a pet and Cass finds a steady source of cake.

Luke continues with his latest scheme by threatening Judith directly. Tommy offers to drop the charges for her sake, but Judith is adamant that he will do nothing of the sort. Judith is determined that if Luke changes his statement implicating her, she will fight it and is sure the authorities will see right through him. Later, Luke calls into Tommy's and is surprised when he sees Judith there. Judith sticks to her guns, challenging Luke to tell the guards whatever he wants.

Although Luke originally had no intention of following through with his threats, he later tells Deegan there was someone with him on the night of the accident who he wanted to protect. He goes on to say Judith insisted he left Tommy for dead on the night of the accident…

Meanwhile, Charlotte does Paddy's dirty work and connives to cause a rift between her brothers. She takes an opportune moment to smash the Xbox controls and places one of Zumo's moving boxes on top of it. When Decco discovers the broken Xbox controls, he accuses Zumo of breaking them and all hell breaks loose. Decco hits a nerve when he calls Zumo stupid and Zumo storms off, returning with a hammer. He smashes the game console in his rage, and Decco decides under no circumstances is Zumo moving in with him. Charlotte and Paddy disguise their delight.

Elsewhere, Dermot uncovers Ben's pet plot, but Jo is inspired to foster again.

Also today, Caoimhe takes an interest as Damien and Ama row about sex.

Tommy is taken aback when Deegan advises him to think long and hard about his statement, the repercussions it will have if Judith is dragged into it, and what could happen should the tabloids get a hold of the story. Soon afterwards, Tommy finally folds and agrees to drop all the charges against Luke. Judith then is livid when she overhears Esther gossiping to Damien about Luke's change of statement. Judith launches into an attack, warning her she will sue her for slander. Judith is shocked at how Esther could believe Luke's version of events.

Later, Judith is adamant that Luke will not get away with this. When Tommy arrives announcing that he has spoken to his solicitor and intends to retract his statement the following day, Judith is having none of it. Judith insists he will be doing no such thing and challenges Luke, adding that she has nothing to lose as he has already destroyed everything she cares about.

Meanwhile, Paddy figures out a plan to ensure that Decco doesn't move out when he wangles information from Zumo about who owns the apartment. Decco accuses Zumo of sabotaging his plans to move out - the apartment owner pulled out of the agreement because a drug dealer called, saying Decco owed him money. Zumo laughs it off, but Decco is fuming and blames him for setting the whole thing up out of spite.

Elsewhere, Dermot and Jo enquire into becoming foster parents again, while Damien resorts to desperate measures as Ama's celibacy becomes too much to handle.

Judith outlines her motivations for sticking by Tommy. She refuses to cower to Luke's attempts at blackmail, but she insists it changes nothing between them and she will not be getting back with Tommy. Soon afterwards, Luke tries to end the war with Tommy and he pleads with him to drop the case. However, Luke is shocked when Tommy venomously turns. Luke realises how Tommy intends to monopolise on the situation with him in jail to win Judith back and to gain the respect of the community and his family. Worried Judith may have told Luke this was not on the cards, he adds how it enables him to settle both scores - Luke's for leaving him for dead and Judith's for leaving him.

Yvonne suggests that Luke turns up the heat and calls his bluff, but Luke is not as convinced. Later, Judith does not believe Luke when he tries to warn her about Tommy and how he wants to ruin her along with him. As a result, Luke and Yvonne connive to turn up the heat on Tommy.

Meanwhile, Paddy sets Charlotte thinking about officially changing her surname to Bishop when she realises her passport is out of date. Charlotte wants to talk to her mother about changing her name to ensure she wouldn't be upset with it, but Paddy sidelines her and volunteers to talk to her on her behalf. Later, Vivienne is thrown when Paddy announces that Charlotte wants to change her name on her birth certificate. He commandeers the conversation and speaks on behalf of Charlotte. Paddy's manipulation continues when he suggests to an unnerved Vivienne how she could change her name back to Bishop while she is at it.

Elsewhere, Damien tries to keep away from Caoimhe but is fighting a losing battle.

Also today, Leo turns to desperate measures when he hears Shannon isn't coming home

    What a ridiculous post.

    How is it ridiculous ?
He has sex with her because ama doesn't want to have sex until they get married. If he cares about ama he wouldn't go sleeping with the town slag.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,449 ✭✭✭SuperInfinity

I'll tell you how it's ridiculous.

    1) Because you're spoiling everything that happens. Now I know that it says spoilers on the thread title, but surely for common courtesy you could just put it inside spoilers tags as the great majority of people do. It's beyond my comprehension why anyone would want to know what happens before it does, so thanks for ruining that for me.

    2) If a person isn't having sex, it's usually an obvious choice that they can do it themselves, so no need for you to bring it up. So IMO there was no point in that imagery apart from you just wanting to produce that imagery for spurious reasons not to do with the plot.
