Surely she would be spending the day with her daughter, the only child she has left, who nearly died in a fire, and her being a doctor and all that, rather than wandering into the pub for a brandy...

She got a double brandy on the house, but. Caddle would have got a jaegerbomb with that.

Bob Charles' brother obviously specialises in all branches of medicine.

From memory, Caoimhe told Damien that she wouldn't be paying him in front of Ama as a cover story (when she gave out about the quality of the work).

Now she's popping over to pay him. She can always say that she changed her mind I suppose.

I think Caoimhe said she would not pay Damo until he rectified some issues like re plastering and repainting.
Sure in FC land that can be redone in an afternoon so I doubt Ama will cop anything

You gotta love how the cops always conduct interviews in the McCoy's or the centre. Keep everyone in the loop.

Well why not say she looks better in real life instead of bringing her age and weight into it?
And Sam, we're supposed to be discussing a soap not the physical attributes of the actors/actresses who are in the soaps..

Oh give over Judith!! Did you ever come across any one so self obsessed? Surely she would be spending the day with her daughter, the only child she has left, who nearly died in a fire, and her being a doctor and all that, rather than wandering into the pub for a brandy and yet another public showdown!! Excruciating.....enough please.

You took the words out of my mouth.Good luck Tommy and Orla

Nobody should have to apologise for complimenting some one bar the comments being overly crude or sexual or something . Youthfulness and slenderness are big deals to most of us! Leave a well meaning person alone!

paul only ever going getting what's coming to him is when he is leaving sadly

Leo checks in with Paul, ensuring that he has said nothing about his suicide attempt to Carol. Paul reassures him that he hasn't, but asks him to speak to a professional about recent events. Leo is resolute that he just has to put things right, but Paul is unsure about how he is going to go about doing this. Soon afterwards, Vivienne asks personal questions about Leo's wellbeing and he realises that Paul has asked her to say a few words to him. He is incensed and refuses to seek help when she suggests that he should talk to a therapist.

Later, Leo approaches Judith and Caoihme separately and asks for their forgiveness. Not long afterwards, Damien invites Leo to go for a pint in McCoy's as a peace offering. Leo is caught unawares while he is having a drink with Damien as Esther tells him that she is taking a civil suit out against him for losses to her Slimstar business. Leo gets a sharp reminder of his situation, but pretends to all that he is coping with everything.

Meanwhile, Paddy gets a trial shift at the Hungry Pig. Rachel gets up to use the toilets and accidentally knocks into Paddy, who is carrying a tray after clearing a table. He turns on Paul and tells him to put some manners on his kids as Rachel apologises. In retaliation, Paul pushes Paddy's buttons, goading him to lose his temper. Paddy grabs Paul by the scruff of the neck and lifts him out of his chair. Rachel and the rest of the restaurant look on in horror as he threatens Paul. When Bob discusses his behaviour at the end of service, Paddy quits before he is fired. Later, Paddy's irritation grows as he sees Judith and Ray chatting about his concerns regarding his upcoming results. Paddy forcibly frog marches Vivienne home and insists that if she loves him, she will promise never to see Ray again.

Elsewhere, Tommy opens up to Judith, while Caoimhe has an awkward dinner at the Halpins'

Vivienne speaks to Ray about his results, explaining that it's nothing a course of antibiotics won't sort out. Suddenly Paddy arrives in and aggressively asks Ray what he is doing sitting with his wife. Vivienne has had enough and insists Ray stays put, appealing to Paddy to apologise immediately. Paddy reluctantly approaches Ray and they both pretend to bury the hatchet. However, Ray in fact stands up to Paddy's intimidation, telling him that he is not afraid of bullies. Paddy warns him that he should be.

Later, Paddy tells Zumo and Decco how worried he is about Ray wheedling his way back into their mother's affections. The boys play right into Paddy's hands and suggest they will deal with Ray. As the day continues, Ray is worried when Zumo and Decco pay him a visit as he is locking up the garage. Decco restrains him as they spell out how he needs to stay away from their mother and to stop interfering in the affairs of a married couple.

Meanwhole, Paul overhears Niamh and the rest of the tenants of the factory building scheduling a meeting to talk about arranging to meet a solicitor as a group, in order to secure compensation from the fire. Paul is forced to betray Leo's confidence again when he has to convince a sceptical Niamh to call off legal proceedings against him. When he tells her about Leo's attempted suicide, she is horrified and agrees to try getting the group to sort out compensation from their own insurance companies. In order to do this, Niamh tells Esther everything - but Leo is ashamed and angry when he realises that his private despair is becoming public knowledge.

Elsewhere, Judith ponders the best way to move on with her life, while Laura pressures Damien to cut ties with Caoimhe.

Vivienne is confused when Ray starts avoiding her. She insists he tells her what's going on and is taken aback when he eventually tells her that the boys paid him a visit at the garage and threatened him to stay away. Vivienne wastes no time before tackling the boys about Ray. They deny her allegations about Paddy putting them up to it. Vivienne is insistent they need to apologise to Ray, but Paddy suggests they have done nothing wrong other than to try to protect their mother. Vivienne is taken aback at Paddy's lack of support. She blames him for the altercation and tells him to sort it out. However, Paddy soon turns the tables, suggesting that she is acting this way because she is having reservations about their marriage.

Later, Paddy gives Ray his final warning and he discreetly threatens him in McCoy's. He warns him that if he so much as looks at Vivienne, he will hunt him down while he sleeps and then he will hunt down his son Mondo and his grandchild. Ray is frozen to the spot and hears his message loud and clear. Back at home, Vivienne insists to Paddy that she wants nothing more than to renew her vows and will never allow anyone to come between them again.

Meanwhile, Carol has been trying to contact Leo with some work. However, he is dejected and worried as he has received a date for his court appearance and he has not been answering her calls. Carol and Bob call in to check on him at home and when they hear the news, they are concerned - aware that he is living on borrowed time. They ask after Shannon and wonder how she has taken the news about the fire. They are surprised to hear that he has said nothing to her. While they understand how hard it is for him, they insist he needs to tell her before she comes home.

Elsewhere, a guilty Damien attempts to confess all to Ama, while Judith makes a big decision.

Paddy sets a date for the upcoming vow renewal ceremony. He says that he wants a fancy affair and to push the boat out for Vivienne. She is flattered. Soon afterwards, Paddy undermines Vivienne when he tells Charlotte she can have a designer dress for their ceremony, after Vivienne told her she couldn't have one. Paddy jumps down Vivienne's throat, accusing her of blaming him for their money worries as he is out of work and cash is tight. Zumo jumps to her defence and insists she said nothing of the sort.

Later, Vivienne answers the door to two Gardai who have bad news about Connor. They tell the family how Connor's dead body was found. Paddy breaks down as Vivienne comforts him.

Meanwhile, Wayne and Maeve return to Carrigstown and reveal that they are engaged.

Elsewhere, Ama walks in on Caoimhe and Damien in the beer garden kissing. Ama is devastated as she realises that Damien has been having an affair with Caoimhe for some time. She realises that Damien met Caoimhe for sex in the factory building on the night of the fire. Damien insists that he loves Ama, but she is adamant that she wants nothing more to do with him.

Did you hear her the morning she rang into Neil Prendevilles radio show ranting and raving? It was worse than the way her character acts in FC.

It was about gay parents being allowed to adopt kids. She rang in to say she was for it and to give out to a bit of a homophobe who was on air.

And fair play to her for doing it but she was in full on Jo mode. It was quite off putting to be honest.

It was her as Prendeville asked did she mind if he said who she was.

How stupid, the cops would never question someone until they got results of the cause of the fire.

They usually do interviews and discuss cases in a garda station , not in a community centre, a café,the local spar or the pub in front of half the street.
