There are some very poor actors in Fair City.

Wayne looks like Mario Rosenstock doing an impression of Wayne.

Why is Vivienne being so compliant? I thought she'd find the courage to spill the beans on Paddy. This is not good.

The Colm Hayes thing was cringeworthy :o

Last night was okay, but it was the first time Paddy when into panto villain territory with his "I expect me dinner on the plate and beer in the fridge when I come home" rant. It was like something out of Shirley Valentine.

A bit better tonight though, that silent dance was quite creepy.

Why was Paddy so desperate to get back with Vivienne anyway? It may be a terrible thing to say, but let's face it: Vivienne is really fat now! Paddy could pull vastly better women than her. And to think he said he wasn't with anyone else, it's ridiculous.

Viv looked absolutely divine dressed like a true bishop in an ecclesiastical pinky red outfit. All she needed was a mitre and crozier. Why did the Bishops dine in some strange hotel rather than the old reliables of the Hungry Pig or Vinos. They scrub up well and looked rather posh even if I say so myself. Stephen was not best pleased with the harsh comments by Colm Hayes about his gaff, McCoys. When Hayes saw the turn to stone look of disapproval from Stephen he made a quick exit from McCoys before he was forcibly escorted off the premises by Stephen.

Just watching it now - I concur with the other posts re Vivienne's outfit! Wtf?!

How did Viv manage to open that champagne so quickly?! Did we even hear the cork pop?

Paddy is such a creep! I really thought that Judith was going to get a glance at Viv's mark from Paddy's beating when she was doing her hair.

Great performance from Colm. He's nearly as good as Stephen.

Pity Orla diden't show Colm into the salubrious carsey in McCoys. He could have utilised the bog to experience the superior sh1tting experience offered by McCoys. :D

He might have to err a bit on the positive side of things when talking about his past alright...

But he's a sociopath and a true psychopath in the classical sense... competent and optimistic, I think he'd like it. He wasn't there for Vivienne and the kids growing up so why start now?

I had to laugh when Jo said she would not have time to go to Phelans ..... it's so far away.

I think Paddy is with Vivienne because he knows exactly how to manipulate her.

Well who could have dreamt that it'd be so easy deal with the Paddy Bishop problem. All she has to do now is
(a)pack her bags once he's in a stupor and head off into the night.
    (b)report him to the cops.
    (c) tell zumo and deco and let them deal with him which would be easier while he's drugged up.

But will she do any of the above or will we have weeks of her slipping him sedatives and flapping around the place in hysterics before he finds out ?

I thought Carol or Orla was going to jump on Colm :P

But report him to the cops for what? Ok, he confessed to her that he killed Conor, but the cops are already investigating that killing, and anything Viv might add would be no more than hearsay. She doesn't even have the conversation recorded
The raid on the Cash-for - Gold premises never took place (far as I know)
And as for beating up Viv, well the cops are very reluctant to get caught up in a domestic dispute.
And it's not an offence to be manipulative.

Well she could say she'd testify that she did not see Connor give Paddy the necklace and her wounds from the beatings would be evidence that she was coerced into staying on Paddys good side and lying for him.

^ And, the new detective mentioned that Paddy must have done some number on Vivienne in order for her to take him back. Viv just needs to call to the station to meet her and get things sorted.

But any barrister would make sh1te of her for changing her story at his stage on a trivial issue like the chain thing.
Its a bit late now to go to the cops about a beating that's days old at this stage, without even medical evidence of how and when it happened
And again, evidence of Paddy being coercive and manipulative would prove nothing in a law court.
A defense counsel would have a field day if that was the only evidence given in court
Remember, a jury would not have seen the story develop on TV four nights a week like the rest of us :D

Its not the only evidence though. There's also cctv evidence placing paddy close to the scene on the night connor died ,evidence of soil from the area in the van paddy was seen in that night, paddys dna on the body. All that coupled with Paddys violent history and the fact that he is a convicted murderer, a confession to his wife, a lie about where the cross came from, and physical injury on his wifes body to explain why she lied for him and why she was slow in coming forward.

    That's a reasonable case.

You're also forgetting that this IS Fair City. Other inhabitants have gone to jail for less!
