At least 11 dogs had been kept in the house with their owner for some time.
They were being kept in what was described as appalling conditions.
A number of the animals were found with numerous injuries.
"It appears that some dogs do have injuries from what appear to be fighting with each other," vet David Bailey told UTV.
"One or two of the dogs appear to be quite thin and out of shape, while one or two of the dogs appear to be very lethargic and we will look into that further.
"It's my professional opinion that these dogs, if they remain here, are going to be in what is described as conditions that are likely to cause suffering."
The dogs are now being looked after in an animal shelter.
