Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's been one way since the start, I doubt the card will change that.

    You don't know that.

Walcott can pull a goal out of the hat, but when he has to stop and think about anything it generally doesn't happen.

    Where was vermaelon?

Sagna looked at him going to the back post. He's been beyond useless this year. It's no surprise that both goals cane from the left wing where Podolski .seems to be up to nothing again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

    Great stuff from podolski there.

This could be a match to get Balotelli back scoring. Note to Roberto... Bring on Balotelli ilater.

Not starting Giroud was a big mistake, no target man at all to aim at

Ah no need to be going into hyperbole, the red card decided the outcome of this game nothing else. It would be a much more even game eleven v eleven

one things for sure walcott aint no down the middle striker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,750 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Joke of a red for me, hes not even getting to the ball first, completely ruined the game.

Giroud needs to come on, stick Walcott up with him or on the wing.

how come every arsenal fan knows the squad needs strengthening, yet the club has money (apparently) but the manager wont spend it.

I'm really struggling to get that.

Fcukin disaster another game ruined with a man sent off!

I hate this saying... Fair enough if you felt it wasnt a red card, thats your opinion.
But in general, a red card is usually deserved.
Is a ref supposed to think, not a red, I might ruin the game???

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Ed Winchester

I have seen refs be lenient so as not to disrupt the flow of a game before, generally something that gets praised when it happens.

Regardless of whether the red was correct there's no denying a sending off that early in a match always seems like an anti climax.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,572 ✭✭✭TheGunns

Id prefer if they all just went flying into tackles for the rest of the game, at least that'd be some intensity

Exactly, it may change the game but the decision was correct, I think some people would rather see a card not given 'so not to spoil the game'.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

I can understand the red card if its consistent but its completely not. Deane would not have given that in the other box, not a chance. There'll be a few more of them in this game and 10 more next week without as much as a free given.

Outside of that Arsenal have been pathetic and with 11 would of still been behind

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,435 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Does anyone really think Dean would give that decision at Old Trafford against Vidic or Ferdinand?

    Not a fcuking chance.
