on brick wall? I haven't a clue about diy and am just a beginner. Drilled a few holes and need to fill them in.

    Two options:

    (1) Filler: such as Polyfilla or the like (you can get it pre-mixed so that all you need do is stir and apply), applied using a paint scraper or filling knife.
A good video here if you've not done it before:

    (2) Decorator's Caulk: applied using a silicone/caulk gun (which I think is always a good thing to have around). Here's a video on how to use the gun:

The caulk is generally used more for joints than for holes, but it could still be used. In either case, just make sure that the filling material is as flush to the surface of the wall as possible by using a paint scraper/filling knife.

Also, filler is a lot nicer to sand afterwards, so a little excess there is not as painful.

Probably loads more videos on YouTube that can show you exactly how to go about it if you do a search.

if you have bricks of the same colour drill some holes and mix the powder with the filler and blend into a smooth paste then apply no need to try and tip up later when dry it will blend in perfectly colour wise
