Sarries coming back into this here.

Sarries inside the 7 point mark now, not an ideal result if it were to end as it is

Racing scored some fine tries but just shows you the importance of the restart. Try is only worth 4 (or 2 if you miss the conversion) if you're going to gift up 3 points at restart time.

Massive half here for the irish sides.

Is there any way Leinster could qualify if Saracens get a LBP or indeed win?

A Sarries win could do for Leinster I think, that 'should' knock Racing out and leave it a straight shootout between Leinster and Munster for the 8th seed spot.

Sarries will win the pool with 22/23 points.
Max Munster can have is 19/20/21 points
Max Racing can get is 17/18 points

Require a Munster loss, or Munster not picking up BP in either game

Yes.......... we just need Munster to not get 10 or Montpellier to lose and nothing crazy to happen with Leicester/Toulouse. I've been saying this all along. If Sarries get the LBP then Leinster can also get ahead of them if we score lots of tries.

    What about a draw?

    The permutations just shat themselves

So if Saracens win this then Racing are pretty much done and dusted no?

Hopefully Racing go out and send the A team next weekend :D

Oh god this a train-wreck. 3 points seems like a mountain to climb now.

    Would be really awkward!

    Sarries 16
    Racing 14

Both potentially finishing on 21 / 19 (dependent on beating Munster for Racing)

    Or Sarries 21
    Munster 21

So, Saracens win is very bad for Leinster?

My head is melted with all this.

My head is melted with all this.

    Sarries win is manageable
    Draw is manageable
Racing win by 7 or less is a total clusterfúck
Racing win by 8 or more is ideal.

I think everyone's head/nerves are in various states of chassis at the moment

Two of the most over-rated teams in the competition. How are Saracens doing decent in the premiership?

How is a draw or a sarries win manageable.Either of these results coupled with a BP Munster win next week(vs disinterested Racing) and Leinster are out.

Is it just me or is Rolland letting Saracens away with murder at the break down while penalising Racing for everything

Varying degrees of what each potential result does for Leinster's chances.

I can still see the Bakkies pj's/ Basteraud lunchbox being broken out.

Both Leinster and Munster can still qualify

    What's the score?

How many times have Racing players caught the ball in their own half and gotten tackled when they had time to get rid of the ball? They're asking for it.

31-28 to Sarries, 15 on both sides now, 10 minutes left, Sarries look by far the stronger team.

What a mistake for Hernandez, although at this stage for Munster it's better for Sarries to win, I think

At this stage is it better for Leinster for Saracens to win? Or for Racing to sneak it?

  • and that's that.

    Munster's dream awakened even futher.

Sarries winning means they are pretty my guaranteed top spot in the group and Racing are out of it. If Racing win it's bad for Leinster as 2 teams in the group can get 20 points.

Munster have to get 2 bonus point wins now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,848 ✭✭✭bleg

Right. Racing are out. No BP for them today even. A team to be sent to Munster next weekend hopefully and Munster to go through as one of the 2nd best?

  • Some balls from Farrell. Even if it took him 80seconds

It would be criminal if teams like Quins and Saracens are in the q finals and a team like Leinster arent!

Racing are out, bad news for Leinster as this means that they're more than likely to send the J5's to Limerick next week.

    Advantage Munster on that score

That's it, all over, Farrell has just put himself into the driving seat for the starting 10 for England in the 6 Nations. Racing get nothing from the game, would expect to them send their equivalent of the Ravens to TP next week.

Unbelievable implosion from Racing. Shot themselves in the foot when they were on top by conceding so many penalties, then just seemed to lack belief in the 2nd half
