Hi, I'm getting sponsored for the 457 visa in a couple of weeks, I was wondering is it possible to sponsor a girlfriend or is it only family members that can be sponsored.

The problem is my girlfriend already used her WHV a couple of years ago so she can't go back without being sponsored.

Any help would be great thanks.

Yes. The person is sponsoring you can add her to your visa, your girlfriend (de facto) partner would be considered "family".
This is the rules of visa:
    http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/visas/subclass-457/

    the rules for defacto partner:
    http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/35relationship.htm

I think the rules for proving de facto partner are less strict on the 457 visa than a permanent visa.

Has your visa already been processed, if it has i think it might be a longer process to get her added.

Nah, in that case it's even simpler as everything else is approved. Might only take a week if its all in order.

I'm at home at the moment but when I go back next week the process of getting my visa is going to start.

    Thanks for the help.
