Hello, I recently installed Norton Internet Security on my computer (Windows 8 laptop) with a product code and it worked fine. I had also discovered that i'm able to use Norton on 3 things at once so later I installed it on my second computer with a disc I got with Norton when I bought it in PC World and for the first day everything worked.

When I turned on my computer the next day it said my computer was at risk so I click on Fix Now. It said it was fixing Auto-Protect, SONAR Protection, Antispyware and Email Protection. When it finished it didn't fix it and it said Fix not complete, because of this (I think) it wont let me scan properly. When I try to scan (Quick scan) it just says Problem detected and that my product is inactive and it says Error during scan.confused.png

Can some please help me with this problem. Thanks.

How many days does it say you have left on your subscription?

Usually when you click live update if usually sorts those issues

If you have tried restarting etc already, just unistall it, restart and reinstall. Never install from the disc, just go to the norton site, and download the latest security, the code is valid for any year once its internet security and not 360 etc. So if you bought 2012 in pcworld, you can download 2013 from the norton site, enter the key into the program, and it will update and show you how many days are left

Norton's support chat is also quite useful, they can do a remote connection if necessary to fix an issue. Many years ago I had a tech perform an upgrade from their 06' software to 07' when I was having some question or another. I usually just got on to them if I renewed before my deadline to get the surplus days added to my subscriptions properly.
