closing down my aib current account

I want to close my aib current account. do i need to go into the bank to do this or can you do this over the phone with phone banking? i have 20k in savings in the account and want to transfer to a different bank.

You will have to go into the bank, or write to them the old fashioned way..

its fast though, just go up to the customer service desk, tell them the date you want it closed. Transfer your money out first!
