I am currently working for a computer company but I really want to get into lecturing and research in the area of computers. I have a bachelors degree in computer science and a masters degree in computer engineering focusing on computer security. I am looking for advice on where to get started when it comes to getting into lecturing positions. Would people advise doing a PHD or is the Masters enough. Also is there any websites that lecturing roles get posted on. Appreciate the help.

I know a few of my lecturers in CIT had their Masters and were working towards their 2nd Masters or Phd while teaching IT subjects. I'd suggest start off small for a few months, run a night class in your local secondary school or smaller 3rd level institution to cut your teeth, get some training experience and then certify it with a Train the Trainer course followed by CompTIA's CTT+ [certified technical trainer]. That, coupled with your undergrad and grad degree's should get you into any of the Institute of Technologies. Have you had much real world application of your skills?
