Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Inherited an iPhone locked to the O2 UK network

    I inherited an iPhone 4 from my sister living in the UK.

    The phone is grand except it is locked to the O2 UK network. I am with Three in Ireland.

    I looked to try my sim (just in case for some reason it wasn't locked) and see the iPhone 4 uses a mini sim. My current phone just has the normal sim.

    My current plan is with Three and I'm quite happy with the bundle I'm on so not looking to change to O2 just so my sim will work.

    How do I go about using this iPhone 4 with my current plan with Three?

    Do I need to jailbreak the iPhone to unlock it? Do I just request a mini sim off Three?

    You can only unlock an iPhone 4 via jailbreak if it's on the 01.59.00 baseband, chances are it's not. Also, an O2 Ireland SIM won't work in a phone locked to O2 UK. Your best bet is to get your sister to contact O2 UK and request an unlock for your phone.

    O2 uk charge £15 afaik so just get a prepay sim and top it up and they will unlock it. Not sure if they do it for nothing on contract
