Hi Guys, i started working with a website http://www.irish-boxing.com/ we are currently thinking of starting a digital magazine to accompany the site. What we would like to do is configure the site to host the magazine so subscribers can buy and read it through the site.

Any info on roughly how long it would take and how much it would cost to get this done ?

    Thanks.

Wouldn't it just be a membership plugin assigned to a directory /magazine on your site?

    Your using wordpress right? https://www.google.ie/search?q=wordpress+membership+plugin

    Maybe this one http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/membership/

If you're talking about a digital magazine your members can download I'd be looking at existing software before considering a custom site:

Thanks for the link but tbh I didn't understand half of that lol not the most tech literate fella around. Producing the mag isn't a problem its the distribution area that's turning out to be tricky. There is a lot of sites that publish but charge a Kings ransom so we are looking into trying to publish through our current site if its possible

I think you're going to have to go into more detail explaining what it is you are looking for/hoping to achieve.

Are you looking for an online-store to sell your magazine?
Are you looking to sell subscriptions?
What format is the magazine going to be in?
What technical/graphical experience do you have, or have access to?
Do you have an existing merchant account to accept card payments?
Do you have a budget for this project?
Are you looking for an off-the-shelf solution or custom designed?

Are you looking for an online-store to sell your magazine? No i want to host and sell through my own site, so the readers can read and down load the product.

Are you looking to sell subscriptions? yes

What format is the magazine going to be in? I will create it using Adobe indesign Cs6 so PDF ?

What technical/graphical experience do you have, or have access to? very little

Do you have an existing merchant account to accept card payments? No, its one of the things i would like to add

Do you have a budget for this project? yes

Are you looking for an off-the-shelf solution or custom designed? Off the shelf would be best

Again I'm not the most tech literate guy around but i know what i want, basically i want to publish & sell a digital magazine through my own site in stead of doing it through a site like http://www.pocketmags.com/
