Anyone got dirty diesel recently?

    Anyone got some dirty diesel over the past few months and had major problems? Car, a 18 month old golf is now laid up for 10 days after if failed to start cold after a run to Dublin and back on same fuel. Injectors ok, a load of sludge in the tank sump pump filter and now diesel pump itself is to be replaced. Probably quite a bit of water in the fuel as well by the look of it. Fuel not tested yet and another car running same fuel will have its tank checked next service. Inishowen area. Any similar experiences recently ?

    yes,

    diesel bought in the same station for 6 months, <SNIP>, and then the arse of the tank was covered in sludge and the lorry stopped 1 night.
    filters caught the **** before it could do any damage.
    changed filling station, no more problems


    Mod edit: There wont be any naming and shaming allowed not will any town be allowed a mention either. Cheers
