    Hi all

I am currently teaching in a new school and 3 Special Duties posts have come up in the school with the interviews being held tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone could give some examples of what is considered a B post? We dont have a schedule of posts yet.

    Thanks a million in advance,
    Awnt

Interviews aren't supposed to be held until the post are outlined, as far as I know.Do you teach in primary or secondary?

Secondary. We havent the schedule, because we only recently got some A posts appointed. Up to now, we didnt have the required number of A and B posts to make up the Schedule of posts. t

Just want an idea, incase I am asked where I think a post is needed. I really wouldnt know what is deemed a B post!

In our school (VEC) the staff decide at a meeting what are the jobs that need to be done and we prioritise them to get the most important as actual Special Duties Posts.
A couple of ours include Book Ordering and responsibility for audio-visual equipment (ordering repairs/replacements etc.).

Book rental scheme is part of an A post. Rest of it is year head.

one B post in our school looks after library (non-existant) and school shop, which is now closed!

Transition year coordinator and IT coordinator aren't even posts in our place!
