Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd say that was supposed to be €265 down to €199.

Are these watches actually any good?

I was browsing O' Dwyers Golf the other day looking for balls (keep your thoughts clean now! :p ) and I seen they have the Bushnell version of this for €199 at the moment too.

I know this is an anti-bargain, but for that device, I imagine it wouldn't know the position of the greens unless you programmed them in for each hole in advance of your game.

My father in law has one of these devices and it has all of the golf courses pre-programmed. It uses your GPS position to give you a list of golf courses available in your area.

As the location of the pin can move from time to time on the green it has the location of the front and back of the green for each hole.

Absolutely brilliant if you play regularly. As mentioned, gives you yardage to front, middle and back (or in metres, if you prefer). Just switch on the GPS when you get to the car park, and about 3 minutes later you select the course and voila. Apparently, every course IN THE WORLD is pre-loaded on. I had a few vouchers for McGuirks that I won ;) and used them towards one of these. Wouldn't be without one on the course now. Also, can be used to measure distance of shot too.

As previous posters have confirmed, all course details are pre-loaded. You just select from the list. Pin positions, obviously, are not.
