Right. I'm tasked with bending over backwards for MS at the moment. Does an OEM Windows License cover downgrades? So, we have a Win7 license and the COA says Win7Pro. Can we install XP Pro or Vista [OMFG] on the machine instead? Or are downgrades just for Retail versions? Oh, same for Office. Does Office licensing allow…

In short, yes. With an OEM licence, you can downgrade 7 professional to either Vista Business, or XP Professional.

As for Office, downgrade rights are outlined here:
