I do think that Cole's form has really been quite patchy so far this season. He's been solid enough defensively but going forward he is entirely nonthreatening and, worse still, he's been too slack in possession too often in games this season.

I'd agree, for a guy with 1 year on his contract hes not exactly playig himself into a new deal.

I still dont get the Lamps starting business though, Mikel is a better option in the regard he can free up Ramires more to bomb on and with Cahill and JT back there that's 3 solid players to have incase they spring a counter and w're caught up field.
