Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wouldn't like to be heading into the Chelsea dressing room now. Mourinho's got to be majorly pissed.

    Got out of jail there.
Welcome to the winter slump lads.

What I will say is, there 2nd goal should have been a free to Ivan on the right flank so that shouldnt have happened.

Saying that drawing with a last minute soft peno to WBA is terrible ti say the very least.

Hopefully last game for Lampard in awhile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭Essien

Soft peno alright, but **** 'em, their second goal came from a foul on Ivan. I'll take undeserved points all day every day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,612 ✭✭✭dubrov

Ref bottled it there at the end.
I'd say he'll be reffing in League 2 after that decision.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭Essien

Also €20 at 5/2 on the draw with 10 mins left, woop woop!! :pac:

Ivanovic gave the ball rather cheaply to begin with, then won it back, then got fouled.
    I blame Ivan!

Bollox IMO. It's marginal on the side of bad, no one would give a **** if it wasn't in the last minute.

fcuking November. In all fairness we should be hammering the likes of West Brom with our team.

Watch it again. No tackle was made and the ref had a very clear view.
    No arms were raised either.

I'm not sure what he saw to give a penalty

    Its not good enough TBH.

I know our home record is now played 6, won 5 drawn 1 but it shouldnt be, we should have lost and it took us to go 2-1 down before we woke up.

True there 2nd was dodgy, Ivan was fouled and Cahill f**ked up from slipping and then Cech had a nightmare to say the least.

Hell even there 1st goal was sh*te defending, Long jumps unchallenged in the 6yard box just after they had another free header.

Time for Jose to think long and hard about his team going into the international break.

I'd be slinging Ivan and Lamps very soon, Lamps as a passenger and even worse then what Torres was at his worst last year and Ivan for being a CB playing at RB with no attacking ability what so ever.

CM is a huge problem, Mikel should have started today, as it stands starting with Lamps is like starting with 10.

Reid leaned on Ramires, not enough to send a guy over IMO and Ramires gambled, went over and won a penalty.

Marriner gave it although I thought first he was going to book him for diving.

Christ no, we just didnt play well enough those games which is frustrating.

We cant break down teams that sit in, Newcastle done it for 45 mins and attacked us and won and WBA employed similar tactics and were very unlucky not to win.

That was one of the worst peno decisions I've ever seen. It was a disgrace tbh. Ye are very very very lucky.

I'm not going to say it was a pen but it wasn't a terrible decision, it was wrong alright but just regular old run of the mill wrong, you'll see worse in a lot of games. If it wasn't in the last minute, nobody would care.

Ha it not one of the worst, far from it.

The ref made a mistake but he also made a mistake allowing them to play on after a foul on Ivanovic in the lead up there 2nd so I'll take that as evening itself out.

You watching the same clip ya?

Ramires goes down once he runs into Reid?

Is it a peno, f**k no, you'd struggle to get a free outside the box for it.

Ref made a mistake, a big one for WBA.

There's no hyperbole in this post. I'm a million percent sure of it.

The ref shouldn't feel as bad as that numpty for West Brom who decided to lump it into the box instead of taking it into the corner. Idiot.

Only 5 points off top spot. No need to panic.
Whatever about that, we're dropping points every second match. We're slipping down the table. Going on recent seasons, it's going to be a dogfight for a UCL place.

The only plus side is that we also have to perform in Europe against pretty stiff opposition, and dropping points around UCL matches is a regular enough phenomenon.

But TBH the negatives are more worrying:
    - Heavy rotation;
    - Lots of players coming in for criticism - a less than happy camp;
    - Certain key players in serious decline;
    - Struggling in almost every match.

With a basic lack of consistency, we're going to drop quite a few more points this season. So even at this early stage, I'd be very doubtful of our ability to win the premiership, particularly if any team can take the bull by the horns the way Arsenal seem to be.

Dreadful penalty decision. Ramirez channelling his inner Ashley Young there.

Not a penalty but i've seen them given before.
Don't think he would have given it at the other end.

Mourinho: "I don't think it was a penalty, I know it was. Andre Marriner is one of the best referee's in Europe."

From the gif, it's not that bad a decision...or anywhere near it.

Marriner is a very good referee

Sums it up so far, we've not being good enough.

the only thing thats saved us and the league in general is that everyone, bar Arsenal are dropping points left right and center.

We cant continue to do it and its easy to say but we still dont have a starting XI, Jose doesnt know whos his best XI and if we continue with Lamps and Ivan in it we'll continue to be slow and ponderous in possession.

I think he does, but whether it's Chelsea's best XI is another thing entirely.

As big as mistake the Ref made , I would question the linesmen more . They are supposed to aid the ref . The lines man should have given the Ref a more clear indication on wether it was a penalty or not .

Steven Reid not happy in the interview there.Ramires just dived into him & went down.
