Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've seen it mentioned on the internet alright this morning.

I've no probelm with spending big on Falcao, my main gripe is that we keep Courtois.

Now if Courtois was allowed to go on loan again for another year to Atletico as part of the deal, that's fine but if he was to go permanently as part of the deal it would be a stupid decision.

Considering Courtois cost us the guts of e8 million and is now worth double that if nt closer to e20 Million, that would price the Falcao deal in and around e70 Million which is not worth it IMO.

I really hope our current crop of players can win us another UCL, the quality is certainly there with the right addiditons and tweaks.

    Vote for Chelsea POTY.

Mata won it last year and in all reality, he'll walk it again this year, maybe only Hazard, Oscar or Luiz can rival him for the award but I cant see past Mata winning it TBH.

Just voted there now. Only one player deserves it. 100% Mata. He will win it at a common canter.

Our best player and best in his position in the league and one of the best in Europe, we dont know how lucky we are to have the little magician.

Harsh reality is it will all go horribly pear shaped without UCL qualification

Or see us go for Maroune Felliani

I'd like to see what manager comes in first, but I can see Romeu and Josh getting a stab in pre-season, if they take the chance then now pointing spending money but Fellaini would be brilliant, or sign a CB and throw Luiz in there for the future.

It could, but I'm confident we'll finish at least 4th.

What about Song from Barca ?

Just voted for the Juan and only.

Looking through the list, it is nice to see how much more... likeable the team has gotten as a whole. It sounds silly, but it is really annoying to feel embarrassed by a Chelsea player's antics on a regular basis. But the likes of Luis, Mata, Demba Ba, Oscar are hard not to like.

I think they'll look to add to the squad in the summer, I'd be surprised if they sell IMO.

Although Alexis might be sold, dont think we'll be in the market for him though.

Something I was thinking about, with Barca looking like they really need a CB any chance of them coming in for Luiz in the summer?

    10 game ban for Suarez.

    Cheely bid for Suarez?

Send them Rafa, Yossi and Torres as well.

Sure we have Torres, Ba and Lukaku.
Between them they have roughly the same amount of goals as Suarez!:pac:

Speaking of Torres, he's only delighted to be at Chelsea according to the oul reliable Daily Mail.

    Google translated the article:
Jose Mourinho (50/Vertrag to 2016) makes in Dortmund (IM HERE NOW LIVE TICKER) obviously one of his last games for Real Madrid.

After image information, the return of the Portuguese to former club Chelsea is almost certain.

Mourinho takes over from the unpopular among fans Rafael Benitez (52). The Spaniard came in November 2012, but announced in February that he goes back to the end of the season.

Mourinho already coached the club from 2004 to 2007 by Roman Abramovich.

The Russian billionaire is planning a special welcome gift: star striker Falcao (27/Marktwert: 60 million euros) of Atletico Madrid to come. The Colombian scored in the last two years in 63 league games 49 results. 2010/11 (17 goals) and 2011/12 (12), he came scorer in the Europa League.

Cheeky bid for Khedira, Hummels and Lewandowski? Lamps, Terry and Torres/Ba all used to "sweeten" the deal(s)? (sacrilegious though it may be to suggest shipping out Lamps and Terry).

I'd also have a look at Howedes at Schalke as a potential CB target.

Hummels would be the dream but Dortmund would want good money for him.

and Jose and Falcao are coming who else would we need to make us a title winning side?

Hummels and a CM and we'd be fairly sorted I'd reckon.

But we'd have to keep Lukaku/Ba/Torres as well as signing Falcao.

Marca now picking up the reports of Jose to Chelsea and Falcao also.

Although I'd seriously wait until both are signed before jizzing my pants.

Why would Jose go back under Anramovich and clubs who are considerably under the influence of player power. I think his experience at Madrid will have put him off Chelsea as much as anything.

Saying that there may be very little jobs out there this Summer for Jose. I think it's maybe time for Jose to take a bit of time out before rushing back into another job. Personally I think City would be perfect for him if it wasn't for the ex-Barca contingent currently at City.

    A decent defence?

Joint 2nd best defence with 3 teams (Utd,Arsenal,Spurs) only city have a better defence on paper, 2nd best attack in the league, only Utd have scored more.

I would say the days of player power are almost gone.

Drogba gone, Lamps to probably go, JT doesn't appear to have the influence he once had, Cech reasonably pliant ----probably a very good time for him to come back and start with a clean slate.

    Please Jose come back.

Having lived in Germany for nearly ten years i feel i am well equiped to pass comment on the Bild newspaper. It fits in just between the Sun and the Sunday Sport. Lots and lots of pictures, usually of women with no tops on ( no bad thing) and informative articles printed in very large red lettering, like this

    Condoms Give You
    Cancer!!
in short i'd probably take what they print with a pinch of salt :P

The Mutu case is going before a FIFA panel this week: http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1423673/chelsea-seek-adrian-mutu-compensation-from-juventus

I think it would be quite harsh for Juventus to have to pay the £14 million. It should've been decided a long time ago and been deducted from his wages.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Ya that the case is a very long ongoing process.

I thought Mutu was meant to be paying us back anyway?

He's meant to be, but he isn't. Chelsea are looking for the money from Juve instead.
