Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

One that was doing the rounds last night, Falcao to Monaco.

No taxes unlike France with its massive tax on high earners.

Monaco might not be allowed in Ligue 1 for this very reason.

Yea saw that with their tiny stadium I assume they are ignoring FFP, actually I wonder how that case is going last I read was good chance it would be deemed illegal but not heard much in the last week.

Monaco might not be allowed in Ligue 1 for this very reason.

Would the FFF be allowed by UEFA to ban them from Ligue 1? I assume Monaco would take this all the way if it was to happen?

I would be surprised if Falcao ended up there, Monaco arent ready to challenge yet and Falcao isnt getting any younger, the money would be insane but the money he could make playing for an already established side fighting for titles would serve his career better IMO.

    Although money talks.

FFP only really hurts teams that want to be in Europe, I cant see them bullying their way into Europe next season unless they invest and as you mentioned the downside of that is with FFP they could be turfed out the following year.

Hope we play a relatively strong team against Villa, a win is not a certainty by any means... Moses, Lamps, Terry and Ba definites to start, would love to see Ake given a go but I'd say we've got more chance of seeing Benayoun named captain.

Think Moses is a doubt for tomorrow

Marin every time, at least he puts in a decent shift and may develop somewhat. Benayoun is well and truly cashing in his pension with us at the moment.

Well at least Yossi is off come the end of the season and his 92K is gone off the wage bill.

    92k?!?

    Dear sweet Jesus.

Part of the reason why he wont be joining West Ham permanently.

It really was a gravy train he was, still is riding.

He maybe forced to take a pay cut to join another team, the poor, poor man.

Even at his prime just as he was joining Liverpool he wasnt worth that money.

    92k?!?

    Dear sweet Jesus.

Has he genuinely ever played a good game for us other than that pre-season game where he scored a fancy goal.

Lots of Twitter talk that Jose turned down Utd as he wants to re-locate his family to London.

    Time will tell I guess.

TBH where would you want to live London or Manchester? What gives London clubs an edge over the rest of the country is London itself.

If youre rich and enjoy a certain lifestyle London is more enjoyable, although if youre millionaire I'd find fun anywhere. :pac:

I do hope no firm decision on KdB is made until the new manager is installed in his rotating chair. This story is a little more positive though.

I wonder if Moyes will take any of the Everton players to Utd? Could mean we might not get first shout on Fellani?

Players out of contract in a few weeks.

    Turnbull - 40k
    Hilario - 25k
    Paulo F - 35K
    Lamps - 130K
    Yossi - 90k
    Malouda - 90k

Total potential saving in and around 400k, the only one that might get kept is Lamps so thats still a saving in and around of 300k on payers leaving.

Average of the squad as it stands is 28.

Im kinda hoping Frank gets a one year contract bring him up to the World Cup, one more year with Jose and this has nothing to do with him needing to score against Villa to get the record :D

I'd take a 1-0 with Lamps scoring early tomorrow and I'll be happy then break the record EL. ;)

Out of interest where did you see the Yossi wage?

In my disbelief I went and researched myself and it's coming up more around the £60,000 mark.

You trying to cause more anger towards Yossi? :pac:

Galatasaray have offered John Terry a 3 year contract worth £200,000 per week #CFC (Mail)

If true, I think I'd probably let him go. Fee is said to be £8m.

Then send them lamps and and they'd have the spine of our most successful squad.

I'd be surprised if he was here at the start of next season tho! I think the interim's main objective seems to be the routeing out of the players who caused the rift in the dressing room between AVB and to be fair he has been quite ruthless and effective in doing this, and although I'd be sad to see Lamps and to a lesser extent Terry go it's only Cole that we really need at the moment.
The real sad issue is Terry always seemed proud to be a one club man and it doesn't much look like it will stay that way unless he retires altogether.

Big money for a guy with 1 year left on his current deal.

It would be sad to see him go, but its going to happen one day anyway, if it means bringing in fresh new talent then so be it.

Speaking of fantasy football, who do ye reckon is more likely to start tomorrow, Mata or Hazrd?

    Neither if I'm honest.

But if I was gambling I'd say Mata, I'd be very surprised if Hazard plays at all at all.

Team: Cech; Azpili, Cahill, JT (c), Cole; Ram, Lamps; Hazard, Mata, Moses; Ba. - subs: Turn, Ivan, D Luiz, Ake, Benay, Oscar, Torres.

Ba is a passenger, should not be starting. I'd rather Luiz as the striker.

Almost our strongest team, hopefully we will have the game won early in the second half and can rest Hazard / Mata then. It is chelsea though so will prob need a 86th min winner.
