I heard that you get money from certain colleges if you get over 500 points in your leaving cert, is this true?

if so, what colleges and how much?

In NUI Maynooth, if you get over 525 you get €1,000. See here:

I think NUIG offers money too for over 560 points, €2000 if i remember correctly.

It's 560 if you don't include HL Maths when counting your top 6 subjects and 585 if you do include it.

I think in DCU you get €1000 if you get over 500 points (not positive about it though). :P

They lowered it to 540, but all you get is a certificate for it. They used to give you money for getting certain points in certain courses, but seems they haven't the money for it anymore or something.

I got the 2012 DCU prospectus and you get 1000 euro if you get 550 if applying for any area but engineering and computer areas, for which you only need to get 500 points for the money
