Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

You are correct. Employers are responsible for ensuring that the correct PRSI deductions are made from your wages. In the case where they did not do this, they become liable for not only the employER portion but also the employEE portion and any arrears or penalties arising therefrom.

Print out the information from citizen's information and the social welfare sites and discuss this with your employer armed with this information. Also make sure you follow up with the PRSI folk to make sure it gets actioned. It's really important that your PRSI is kept up to date as if you ever need to access any social benefits or allowances your PRSI contributions play an important role.

Do you get payslips? You need to check them to ensure PRSI is being deducted and at the correct rate (employEE and employER). You can get info on the correct rates for your pay bracket on citizens information. And if you don't get payslips you need to insist on one. It is a legal obligation of your employer to provide you with a payslip.
