I hear ya, the weather event that was going to make the 1947 storm move sideways as the storm of 2013 was to make it's way into the history books as the most epic storm on record.

I really must have a chat with the guy who wrote that. :):(

    What are you on about?

Watching the matches on sky nearly makes me want to get sick. England seem to be getting plastered while it looks like there wont be alot for Ireland. Hopefully we get something tonight

Not really sure what a band of precip moving into the southwest that was expected to give 5-10cm but is now forecast to give 3-6cm has to do with one of the most severe winters in recorded history here....

Those echos the radar is picking up are showers that are too light to make it to the surface , hence why most the east cost been under patches of light ppn but nothing worthy from them.

Late tonight/early tomorrow would be the most likely time.

It has been a real cold day here, getting ready for the snow, a high of 1.0C.
Had some of that fine dust like snow in a few light flurries earlier today.

Mods, can we get a dedicated Western thread? There's too much irrelevant chatter on here about conditions in the east.

Actually it would make sense to regionalize the thread

Starting to rain here in Cork.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭Nabber

Not much happened regarding snow for me today. Think I will gave boards a miss tomorrow and get some work done. The potential snow is pushed out every couple of hours. Its cold today, not wet. I'm happy with that.

Damn you 2010 for spoiling me and making me want +10cm with every event.
