Very strange weather here all day. High of +0.5c, low of +0.4c. Dark clouds all day and been lightly snowing on and off. No significant melt since Friday. About 3 inches of snow in the fields with a light covering of hail/graupel.

Believe it or not, Ffarrell , it has snowed plenty of times at sea level in Tralee/Kerry as I can personally attest to!!!:)

Temps the wrong side of Marginal here in Newcastle, Co. Wicklow. We had a heavy graupel shower in the past hour but it melted straight away. Temp at the mo is 3.5 and D.P +0.5, Met eireann mentioned the temps dropping below zero everywhere tonight.. That would be some drop for here!

Valentia reporting moderate/heavy sleet on met.ie latest weather at 8pm with air temp of 1 degrees so maybe you might be in luck as the precipitation intensifies/temps drop!

Indeed, just back from a walk in it - tis very light.

Im so deprived of my own snow fix that my face resembles that smilie
anyway it wasnt ment as a negative smilie in the context - so im not going to start defending smilies, after all they aren't words with a definitive meaning
