    The perfect type of snow:)
Too dry like 2010 and you stuggle to make a snow ball or snow man but i dont think we will get enough at low levels to test the theory anyway, a dusting is welcome.
I think its just the start this winter if Simon Keeling & Mt are to be believed, night all.

Where are you located? Just started to stick here in farranfore this last hour and pretty heavy and dry snow now, hope we get a few more hours from it as the ukmo high res suggests

    Killorglin......nice big flakes.

I think whoever opened a standalone thread for the west has jinxed things. with the streamers popping up i think the east may yet win this battle. Enjoy and goodnight all. hopefully we all wake up to pleasant surprises.....

Don't worry too much, the light blue on radar, which is most of the precip for the east, bar Louth and further North, won't deliver diddly unless it intensifies!

Hmm. Check out the last three frames on Raintoday. I'm withholding judgement for now, but feel free to have a ramp if you wish. Next few frames will decide if I call it a night or call it a good night!

It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand.

Who knows, it might not be during this cold spell but anything is possible :o
Snowing VERY lightly in SE Tipp at 150+ ASL,sometimes precip bubbles up from nowhere so always a chance despite the radar etc, although not expecting much :o

What's the point if that comment? I was just posting as I was in same place as previous poster who said he had some snow.

What's the story with the1.15 met radar??

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,061 ✭✭✭irishfeen

Just starting to spit out a few flakes here again in N. Cork, Radar seems to be suggesting that the front has just passed the other side of that Mallow/Cork City line for the first time tonight albeit slightly.
